Steven Kang, MD

Dr. Kang earned his B.S. in biology at Yale University and was awarded his M.D. from George Washington University. His post-doctoral training includes internal medicine internship, residency, and chief residency @ George Washington University and general cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, and chief fellowships @ Harbor-UCLA/Good Samaritan. He is a professional member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Heart Rhythm Society, the American College of Cardiology, and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Kang’s area of expertise is the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias and the use of device therapy in the treatment of congestive heart failure. He has received specialized formal training in the use of catheter ablation to treat arrhythmia including atrial fibrillation as well as in the implantation of special pacemakers/defibrillators to treat heart failure. Dr. Kang is currently a member of the medical faculty at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Eden Hospital, San Leandro Hospital, and the John Muir/Mt. Diablo Medical Center.
