Dr. Johnson earned his B.A. from the University of Arizona, his M.D. from Johns Hopkins, and completed his cardiology training at U.C. San Francisco. He was the first cardiologist to perform peripheral interventional procedures in the East Bay and is an expert in the use of catheter techniques to relieve obstructions in peripheral arteries and veins. Dr. Johnson directs investigational programs in carotid stent implantation and is the Chief of Endovascular Services at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.
