Dr. McDonald joined the practice in July 2011 after completing an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas.

Dr. McDonald received his B.A. degree in Biology from Harvard College and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School.  He completed his residency training in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and his cardiology fellowships at the Texas Heart Institute.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology.  Dr. McDonald’s areas of interest include the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.

Chip is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and he and his wife, Autumn, have family ties to the Bay Area.  Chip is thrilled to establish his practice in the East Bay.
